A good old barbeque on a family weekend can do wonders, the great food along with friends and family is something people look up to in the weekend. Barbeque which started in the 1950’s is a rave at present. More and more families opt to buy commercially available barbeque pits but it can actually be fun building one on their own.
Barbeque pits are made of bricks or metal. When deciding to build your own barbeque pit consider the availability of space in the backyard. Make sure that the barbeque pit does not wrap your home or for that matter your neighbors home in smoke. Also make sure that it’s not too far away from the kitchen as access to tools and ingredients can actually become a pain. Make sure to keep the bricks wet over night before making the trench 3 to 5 feet long and 3 to 4 inches deep, pour gravel on it to form the base. Then mortar and wet bricks can form the lining and cedar chips can e the furnace.
