Changing your air conditioner filter is very important, and should be done regularly. Lots of dirt and dust accumulate on the filter, and when inhaled they cause a lot of ham to your body and may result in illness. Changing of the air conditioner filters also prevents damage to the air conditioner, and ensures that it always stays in good working order. This will save you lot money in terms of repairs and replacement of the air conditioner.
The air conditioner filters should be replaced every thirty or sixty days to ensure that the air conditioner is working at optimum level. A filter which is clogged with dirt makes it difficulty for the air conditioning system to work properly, and this makes the system to require a large amount of energy. Therefore regular changing of the filters reduces the amount of power consumed, helping you save a lot of money.

Air conditioners are an important part of our daily lives, especially in the summers when it is very hot and humid. Portable air conditioners are light and therefore very easy to carry, making it very easy to move them from room to room. Rooms which are close to the one containing the air conditioner can be cooled at once, and this helps in maintaining the room temperature of the entire floor.
Therefore, instead of sitting around in one room because you’re afraid of the heat in other rooms, you can get yourself a portable air conditioner and you’ll be able to carry out your tasks in different rooms while enjoying the cooling effect of the portable air conditioner. They cost almost the same as the fixed ones, but are easier to clean and maintain, so it’s appropriate to get yourself a portable air conditioner to combat the summer heat and you won’t regret it!

As opposed to centralized air conditioning systems, split air conditioners are more efficient. Having their compressors located on the outside is the major contributing factor for their efficiency. This is because it makes them very quiet and this gives a nice environment. They are small and easier to install than other air conditioning units.
Split ACs make it possible to have more than one indoor unit connected to the main outdoor unit and these units can be used to cool individual rooms. This can be very helpful when trying to save energy, as each indoor unit has its own thermostat. You can therefore switch off the units in rooms that are not being used and switch on the units rooms that are in use. This will in turn save you a lot of money. Having no ducts also reduces energy losses which are usually caused by long ducts and the leaks that ducts have.

Also known as room air conditioners, window air conditioners are mounted on windows. They operate by cooling one single room in the house, instead of the entire house. This makes them cheaper to operate as compared to central air conditioning units. Since they are small in size, they are easily mounted on windows. They can be removed from the windows quite easily when the cold season comes.
Window air conditioners are usually made from good sound-absorbing materials, and this makes them less nosy than the other air conditioners. They also have relatively quieter motors.
The windows air conditioner easily gets rid of the condensed water that air conditioners produce, by directing it outside. When used in conjunction with interior fans, the cool air is spread evenly in the room and this leads to saving great amounts of power because you can turn on the air conditioner at minimum level.
