It is important to take care of your hardwood floor but no matter how well you do, sometimes it may get scratches or stains. You can repair this on your own, you just need to know what do for each instance. If you have damaged planks you want to repair, you can easily remove them with a saw and then resurface the part using a belt sander. You can then replace the boards with new ones and apply new finish on the floor to make it uniform.
For stain removal, there are products that can be used to remove them easily such as oxalic acid crystals mixed with hot water, steel wool that helps to remove wax and sandpaper that you can use to get rid of surface finish from the damaged area. With the right tools and ingredients, you don’t have to spend a lot of money on repairs.
